LITTLETON, Colo. (May 30, 2012) – Arapahoe Community College will host its 2012 summer concert series throughout the month of June. The concerts, which are sponsored by the Student Affairs Office, are free and open to the public. All concerts begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be held on the west lawn of ACC’s Littleton Campus (5900 S. Santa Fe Drive).
Tuesday, June 12 – KRUZIN’
Kruzin’ is a seven-piece dance band that plays old school, R&B, Latino and classic Top 40 dance tunes. Led by guitarist Jeff Fajardo, the Kruzin’ band encompasses over thirty years of performing experience.
Tuesday, June 19 – AFTER MIDNIGHT
This group of musicians, which includes award-winning clarinetist Roger Campbell, has performed thousands of concerts around the world since 1997 for jazz festivals, clubs, weddings and summer concerts. After Midnight conquers dizzying charts by the likes of Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw and Lionel Hampton, and their instrumentation is unlike any other in region, featuring clarinet, vibraphone, piano, bass, guitar/vocals and drums.
Tuesday, June 26 – GUMBO LE FUNQUE
Gumbo le Funque is a blues/funk band from Colorado with a contemporary New Orleans sound. Their funky-dangerous party music pays homage to the musical melting pot that is the Big Easy.
Pink Tank, a food truck with breakfast-style burgers, hot dogs, breakfast plates and desserts, will be on hand at ACC during the 2012 summer concert series.
